Newport Marathon 2024 Road Closures. The half marathon is new for 2024, expanding the event into an exciting festival of running with multiple distance options. The abp newport marathon festival is returning this sunday (28 april) to the streets of newport, with a new look, new half marathon distance and newly designed courses.

It offers iconic landmarks, including the city’s transporter bridge, historic city centre, modern riverfront. With the event taking place on many of newport’s main streets, there will be road closures in place throughout the day on sunday.
